Great vidi …… have you found out how they grade the cells ? I presume there is some system like the rings on resister components & the like. Did you have? any problems with trapped moisture in the panel, as you generated a bit of a gap ?
Regards Bob
what about condensation build up inside your glass? You should vacume seal and or epoxy the cells to the glass so no air? inside your case…. just a thought
Like so many others…..I would like the info on your solar cell supplier. Your videos? are excellent……anxious to make my first panel. Once assembled, how fragile is the complete panel?……transportable/mobile for a travel trailer or motor home????
Do u have any problems with the backing warping or bending? I used thick plexi? glass on mine and it warped was following the advice of an ebay manual by livingOffThaGrid

Just wondering how the panel looks now, can you give us a? look? Did the air that was trapped in the panel during assembly turn to moisture and turn the cells brown? Thanks.
hey you didn’t expalin how you made the + & – come one man that confused me?? in the last video you had only one line? in this one you have 2? expalin please
i? like your video but the excesive use of silcone i wouldnt call beautiful bro that makes a decent panel look kinda amateur there is a much cleaner profesional way to acomplish that
Robert thank you so much for teaching us. You are great! You built the panel in a manner? that most of us would in terms of learning as we go, simplifying each step. Your lack of sophisticated educational techniques is what has helped so many of us to actually learn to build a solar panel. Please keep teaching. Many in the world would appreciate some electricity.
Questions: 1) Could you have glued cells directly to the treated plywood? It looked like the peg board was only used for the holes the use of tile spacers? 2) Did you paint with white for any specific reason? I know white would be coolest as a reflector of heat and black would be hottest. GREAT series!!! Watched? all 15 parts. A lot of time and editing! Good job!

If you build a 77volt panel, you dont really have anything you can use it for. what you can do is to build multiple panels for charging a 12volt battery, and then use a >270watt inverter to power your applience (stereo, computer etc..) on120 or 230v, or whatever you need.
if you build 4 of the63w panels Robert just made in the video,? and then connect them to each other in parallel, then you get 18v, and 315 watts. (more is better) Then you need a power manager able to handle it.
i want to build a 270 watt panel i know that my cells are 1.75 watts ,and 0.5v ,143 ohm 3.5 amp? i am having troble with starting to figure out my volts as my starting point so my know,s are 270 watts and my per cell info can you help
Thanks again Robert. Now I know I am gonna make an “A” in? 101 solar by Robert.
You are a teacher and a dar n good one. Man you are going somewhere and we are following you. May God Bless you and keep it up.
I’m an electrician and I learned the Ohm’s law equations on a prayer wheel, but your pyramid is a far easier way to remember them. I’ve just watched all of? your videos up to this point in one sitting and I’m not finished yet. You’re doing a good thing here. I was looking for some DIY solar panel info and you did not disappoint. Nice attention to detail. GJ Thanks

Great Job! Do you overlap your C channeling? on the corners?
Enjoyed your video .Do? you have any problems with condensation?
@mixcatcom how? many volts per cell?
I’d like to thank you for taking the time to school us on building solar panels. Yours look great, and I am ready to tackle? it. Thank you.

hello dear nice work can you tell me the one cell specification how voltage and? watts??????

if i use an concealing kit like sylgard 187 do i need? to use the silicone or any of that?
Thanks.
Do you really need glass? on the back side? Why can’t you use something like plywood?

what kind of out? put you getting on these panels? im guessing cost on that panel is about 40.00 ….. is the accurate??
how do you know which is positive and negative when? wiring it to the grid ? thanks
It looks like he is making? a delicious cake!! Lol..
I felt you could have given a better detail of the cell layout -? I don’t feel I am confident that I can do – is somehthing missing?
@ 5:25, that ‘icing’ you put on the cells, has it dried??
@mixcatcom Where did you get them for $1.50?

Awesome video.? Sleep for the weak. I saw this video at midnight too. Creative men works at midnite.
Why not? use Epoxy?

Hi Robert, i got lost in this video. How did you know that it produces 63W? and 18v? Thank you

Well to produce 270 watts, if each solar cell is rated at 1.75watts, you are going to need 154 solar cells.
So since you know each solar cell is rated for .5v, you can just do the math which is:
154(solar? cells) x .5v = 77volts if you are hooking it up in series
i want to build a 270 watt panel i know that my cells are 1.75 watts ,and 0.5v ,143 ohm 3.5 amp? i am having troble with starting to figure out my volts as my starting point so my know,s are 270 watts and my per cell info can you help
